Tommy "TomCat" Garner is an Award Winning Journalist, Television Producer, Editor, Published Author, Videographer, Radio Host and Musician.
At an early age Tommy had a deep love for hunting, fishing and all things outdoors. In 1974 Tommy dedicated his life to Christ which began a lifelong ministry of learning, teaching, preaching and making people aware of the love of Christ and that the outdoor world was created for our enjoyment and pleasure.
In the early eighties he started writing outdoor articles which were published in several magazines including North American Whitetail. He has always been fascinated with big whitetail bucks and his passion to hunt for and also discover those which had been taken by other hunters then writing articles about the hunters and their deer.
Then in 1990 Tommy teamed up with America's Deer Hunter Roger Raglin to produce the first episode of North American Sportsman which aired on local and regional television and cable networks. Tommy continued to host and produce more episodes of his outdoor television program over the years. He also continued writing articles about hunting, fishing and all things outdoors. Later he began to write articles for the Jonesboro Sun which were published weekly along with those articles being syndicated to include several other newspaper entities.
In August of 2001 Tommy began to produce and air the Regional Hunting and Fishing reports daily on a local radio station and followed up in November of that year to produce and host Outdoors Live where he and his wife Wanda who is an outdoor writer, producer and televison host took to the airwaves each week to talk about hunting and fishing and included celebrity guests from the outdoors and the country music world. Outdoors Live has aired each week for the last 25 years and continues today. During this time Tommy co-authored two books which have been published and two which are waiting on publication.
In the early 2000's Tommy was introduced to Garry Mason by Brenda Valentine and he has proudly served on the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame board of directors since that time.
