Russ Bailey promotes crappie fishing with a passion! Formerly a Lake Erie walleye fisherman, he got hooked on crappie fishing after some co-workers talked him to going along with them.
He has hosted crappie fishing television shows for many years; former host of the Midwest Crappie Show and current host of Brushpile Fishing TV. He also has a podcast on iHeartRadio that compliments the television show. He wants everyone who enjoys fishing to specifically enjoy crappie fishing.
Russ is a 14-time National Tournament Qualifier going back to Crappiethon days with almost as many wins.
Russ is a Retired Police Sergeant and a Veteran of the US Air Force and lives in Ohio with his wife, Pattie. They have 2 grown children, Sarah (Justin) Vorhees, and Wyatt.
