George Lynch’s passion for hunting started as a young teenager shooting his first deer with a bow at the age of 13. He continued his passion for hunting ever since by refining his abilities, increasing his knowledge and experimenting with gear, tactics and strategy for waterfowl, small and large game.

Waterfowl became a major focus of George’s life in his late 20s when he started designing his first short reed goose call with a friend who owned a lathe as a result of not finding a call on the market with the deeper goose sounds he wanted that best mimicked a single live goose. It didn’t take long for that quest to turn into a noticeably respected game call line, Lynch Mob Calls.

Gaining success quickly, his ear for waterfowl realism and his relentless pursuit for perfection led George to judge many sanctioned calling contests around the US as well as to be a six time judge for the World Waterfowl Calling Championship for goose in Easton, MD and the World’s Championship Duck Calling Championship in Stuttgart, AR. These judging opportunities put George on a short list of few men, if not the only man, to judge both duck and goose contests on the world stage.

George’s recognition for his knowledge and success of waterfowl call designing and waterfowl hunting led him to write numerous articles for industry magazines as well as to speak at many hunting-related seminars and events. In fact, George was so well known for his expertise in waterfowl call designing and hunting that he was chosen to represent Sitka Gear in its first small group of athletes and was referred to as the ‘Goose Guru’ on their website for many years. Today, George continues to share his knowledge with hunters with numerous calling lessons, tips and strategy on a vast array of hunting topics on his podcast George Lynch Hunting as well as his YouTube channel, Legendary Gear with George Lynch. His calling instructions for the beginner to advanced have been praised by many.

In 2016 when George struggled to keep up with game call orders, he sold Lynch Mob Calls to a New York company in hopes of taking the brand to the next level; but as so many other small business owners found out, losing control over brand quality and control can make a devastating impact on products and customer service. So, after stepping away and spending over a year to incorporate a life time of knowledge of game call designing, George redesigned a whole new line of calls in January 2020 as Legendary Gear which has been garnished ‘top call’ status in the industry by industry professionals, peers and customers as the call line that is easy to run with realistic sounds.

He is married today to Dianne Snively Lynch who is not only his best friend and partner in life but also his partner in business. They live in south central Iowa and hunt, ride horses and visit their combined 6 kids, 5 sons- and daughters-in-law, and 6 grand children every moment they can.

Lastly, it is most important to note that none of these accomplishments would have taken place or would have any value apart from the One who gave not only wisdom, knowledge and ability, but who gave the most precious gift to mankind ever, and that is eternal life with God through Jesus Christ who is Lord and Savior.
