Biography

Chuck Jones was born in Tensas Parish, Louisiana, December 13, 1956, and like most young men of the day he began learning the ways of the wild from a very young age. For Jones, the Mississippi River and areas inside the levee would play a pivotal role in his outdoor education. By the time he was in his early teens, it wasn’t unusual to see Jones piloting his 14’ aluminum Jon boat up and down the Big Muddy in search of deer, turkey, ducks and the fish swimming in the oxbows and sloughs around the parish.

In 1987, Jones would become a member of the video production team for Will Primos, taping many of the early hunts contained on the Truth Video Series. As Primos himself is fond of saying, “I knew that I was a decent hunter, but Chuck Jones was part of a small crew of men who were on another level when it came to getting close to deer, turkey and ducks.”

After three years with Primos, Bill Jordan and David Blanton would come calling, and soon Jones would relocate to Columbus, Georgia, joining the Realtree Production team. Three years into his time in Columbus, Jones would finally find his home in the outdoors, when he would move to Cadiz, Kentucky and become part of the Knight and Hale team. For 13 years, Jones would head up the company’s video and television efforts from both behind and in front of the camera.

Today, Jones is a member of the Woodhaven Pro Staff where he continues to do what he’s one of the very best at doing…..getting close to wildlife.
Simply stated, Chuck Jones is a pioneer of outdoor videography and production. At each stop along the way he’s produced some of our most memorable outdoor experiences adding to some of our most important memories while telling the story of the American hunter.
