Legends of the Outdoors National Hall of Fame Moves this Year’s Banquet and Induction Ceremony To the Renaissance Nashville Hotel In Beautiful Nashville, TN
JULY 7, 2010 – SPRINGVILLE, Tenn. – Early this morning, Garry Mason, Founder and CEO of “Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame announced that the 2010 Legends of the Outdoors banquet and induction ceremony will be held at the Renaissance Hotel in beautiful downtown Nashville, TN.
“In searching for a special venue to host the “Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame event, the Renaissance Nashville Hotel has stepped up to the plate in a continuing effort to help Nashville to keep great events such as the “Legends of the Outdoors” in the Nashville area”, said Mason.
This year’s event - The 9th Annual “Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony - will take place Saturday, August 14. The doors will open at 10:00 a.m., enabling guests to socialize with honorees and other attending “Legends of the Outdoors” members - the Banquet and Induction Ceremony will begin at noon.
The 2010 Induction Class consists of Judy Wong, Charlie Ingram, Peggy Vallery, Glen Andrews, John Satterwhite, Jim Zumbo, and Jack Miner – posthumously. In addition, Ducks Unlimited will be recognized as the 2010 “American Outdoor Organization of the Year.”
Numerous “Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame members are scheduled to be on hand at this year’s event, including: Hank Parker, Alex Rutledge, Rob Keck, Brenda Valentine, Wade Bourne, Pamela Martin-Wells, Kim Ward, and Gary Yamamoto.

Be sure to identify yourself as an attendee of the “Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame, to receive the special group rate of $129 per night, plus state and local tax. Reservations will be accepted May 24 –July 14.

Bethel has chosen Garry Mason to direct the school's inaugural bass team. Mason is a fishing and hunting guide in the Kentucky Lake area for the past 25 years. A native of Buchanan, Tenn., Mason has been featured in several news media outlets and is the founder of The Legends of the Outdoors.

This morning, Garry Mason, Founder and Executive Director of the “Legends of the Outdoors National Hall of Fame” announced that the 2009 “Legends of the Outdoors National Hall of Fame” Induction Banquet is scheduled for August 22, 2009 at the Sheraton Music City in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a change from the past as the banquet is scheduled for a Saturday afternoon where it has always been held on a Friday evening. The Meet and Greet will be at 3:00 p.m. and the meal seating will begin at 4:00 p.m.

SPRINGVILLE, TN A new crappie fishing magazine has hit the market with their first issue. Crappie Angler magazine is a division of Grizzly Jig Company, a lure company based in Caruthersville, Missouri according to Wade Mansfield, Executive Publisher. The new Crappie Angler magazine features the Legends of the Outdoors National Hall of Fame founder and Executive Director Garry Mason on the premier issue. "Garry Mason has been a crappie angler and guide for years along with being a promoter of the sport. I have grown up with Garry Mason and we are here to promote the sport of crappie fishing," says Mansfield. "We receive so much crappie fishing information that we decided to share the wealth of information through this angler based magazine. |
