July 21, 2010 – SPRINGVILLE, Tenn.

Founder of the “Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame, Garry Mason, released a prestigious list of members and inductees scheduled to attend this year’s 9th annual banquet and induction ceremony to be held at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel on August 14th when doors open at 10:00 a.m. followed by lunch and the induction ceremony.

This year’s 2010 class of inductees are Judy Wong – two-time winner of Women’s Bass fishing angler, Charlie Ingram – Professional bass angler and host of Fishing University, Peggy Vallery – President of NWTF board of directors, Jack Miner – posthumously – Father of conservation, Glen Andrews – Champion of World Sport Fishing 1965 and 1966, John Satterwhite – World champion skeet shooter, Jim Zumbo – Nationally known big game hunter, outdoor writer and photographer, and Jackie Bushman – Founder of Buckmasters all of whom will be in attendance.

“Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame members scheduled to attend to help welcome and induct the 2010 class of inductees are Gary Yamamoto – Yamamoto Custom Baits; Harold Knight – Knight and Hale Game Calls and television show; Mike McLemore – McLemore Game Calls and World Champion duck caller; Brenda Valentine – First Lady of Hunting and World Champion Lady Bow hunter; Wade Bourne – Nationally known outdoor writer and host of Ducks Unlimited television show; Kim Ward – Founder War Eagle Boats; Hank Parker – Host Hank Parker’s Outdoor television show and professional angler; Alex Rutledge – Host Rut ‘N’ Strut television show and nationally known deer and turkey hunter; Pamela Martin-Wells – Professional lady bass angler; Jack Oliver – Hunters Specialties national hunting team; Rob Keck – Former CEO NWTF; Tommy Akin – National outdoor products promoter; Jerry Martin – Bass Pro Shops team; Ray Scott – Founder B.A.S.S.; Ralph McDonald – Nationally known wildlife artist; and Soc Clay – Nationally known outdoor writer and photographer.

Be sure to identify yourself as an attendee of the “Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame, to receive the special group rate of $129 per night, plus state and local tax. Reservations will be accepted through July 27.

Tickets must be purchased on or before August 10, 2010.

 

Legends of the Outdoors National Hall of Fame Announces Ducks Unlimited as the 2010 Recipient of The American Outdoor Organization of the Year Award.


APRIL 27, 2010 – SPRINGVILLE, Tenn. – On March 23, 2010 Garry Mason, Founder and CEO of the “Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame, visited Ducks Unlimited’s national headquarters in Memphis and announced that the organization would be the 2010 recipient of the “Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame’s American Outdoor Organization of the Year award. Mason stated today that it was an honor for “Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame to salute the achievements of such a great organization as Ducks Unlimited for its unwavering commitment to conserving North America’s wildlife habitat and safeguarding our outdoor heritage.
World champion duck callers and “Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame members Buck Gardner and Mike McLemore were also on hand for the announcement of this outstanding award.
